Long Compton

Welcome to Long Compton

My Village
View From Whichford Hill

Long Compton is a village situated at the southernmost extremity of Warwickshire. The present settlement traces back to Saxon times with the first dwellings believed to be situated on ground adjacent to what is now the Parish Church. Local evidence of Bronze Age and Roman settlement is coming to light.

The Village lies within a conservation area and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a relatively large number of listed buildings and efforts are made to ensure that new buildings conform to the vernacular building style. Inhabitants and visitors alike enjoy open views to the surrounding countryside.

Please browse this site for information and to find out what makes the village of Long Compton so special.
